Sales Consultant
-
May 2021 - Aug 2021
Although I only worked in sales for several months, due to unforeseen circumstances, it gave me great experience working in a high pressure, target driven role at a high-end luxury health club. My role as a Sales Consultant, was to successfully arrange tour appointments with potential customers and close the signing and payment of the sign-up contract. This required me to be able to build relations with clients and have a deep understanding of the service I was selling to install the confidence in the client to sign-up. This furthered my customer service skills, but also my confidence in communicating and building strong relationships with customers.

Cleaner

Dec 2020 - Apr 2021
I started as a cleaner at Roko to help fund my studies at university during the pandemic. My main duties included maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the gym and changing rooms, whilst also ensuring safety procedures for coronavirus were adhered to keep gym members safe. My role as a cleaner meant I developed my professionalism as I had to be organised in order to successfully balance working three days a week as a cleaner whilst completing my degree. The management at Roko were so pleased with my attitude and performance at work that once I finished my studies, they gave me a chance to work as a Sales Consultant.

I thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Pro Bono Society as it gave me opportunity to partake in projects to better the local community and pass on the knowledge I was learning as a Law Student to those from underprivileged backgrounds. As well as attending various talks from esteemed practising barristers and solicitors, the project I was mainly involved in was attending local Young Offenders Institutions and delivering talks to young adults. These talks aimed to teach them about their legal rights in the juvenile detention system and also to inspire the young adults to develop an interest in law, or at least education, to act as a catalyst for them to change their lives and see a way out of the way they were living. Not only did this give me a more hands on experience with law during my studies, but it was very rewarding seeing the young adults after the talk, take a genuine interest in the subject of the talks and hopefully make a difference in their lives.
