At Avrom Farm my role is extremely versatile from farm crew-hand to managing between 2-3 Farmers markets in Chicago each weekend. Working well as a leader at the markets and as a team in the field I have gained the ability to take and give critiques and direction in a respectful manner. I am also well versed in communicating with a variety of clientele from everyday consumers which have no prior farming knowledge to head chefs at prestigious restaurants who have detailed questions about our practices. I have acquired problem solving skills on the farm as we have to make things work with what we have since what we are taking care of is so much larger than ourselves. Raising pigs and chickens comes with responsibility that the day is not done until everything is taken care of, which has turned me into a dedicated and hardworking individual.
