This included operating an automated system to process the product via hot fill pasteurization, HTST, or LTLT processing as well as using the automated system to perform CIP processes. Part of operating the automatic system was understanding all the functions of the system and being able to troubleshoot when problems arise as well as manipulating said system to perform essential processes when processing requirements exceeded system capabilities. Also included in blending batches is using and understanding different types of machinery such as diaphragm pumps, rotary pumps, centrifugal pumps, homogenizers, mixers, juicers, and others. Some other responsibilities were keeping an updated inventory, measuring and kitting raw materials, keeping a clean and organized work space, managing time and prioritizing tasks, and finding ways to improve the current process.
