As a reporter for The Daily Reveille I primary reported on facility and student services at LSU. My position allowed me to act as an advocate for students and act as a watchdog of faculty and staff. I had the opportunity to cultivate long-term relationships with individuals in the public relations field through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. My job consisted of presenting news by researching, developing and covering field news events. Additionally I generated, produced and delivered high-profile special reports and communicated in community events. My top article was a front page story consisting of three page investigative spread that addressed the ongoing overselling of parking passes and the continuous towing at students expenses. As a result of my reporting, there is no longer an over selling of parking passes. The number of passes sold by LSU now directly correlates to how many parking spots are available on campus.

On summer breaks I worked at the Louisiana State Senate. My position as a page allowed me to build personal relationships with senators and staff members to promote positive experiences.
