    • President

Sigma Iota Rho is the national honor society for International Studies. I am the President of the Alpha Gamma chapter at Miami and represent the society’s interests at the campus and national levels. With the support of my executive team, I coordinate events for professional development, recruitment, fundraising, and social networking. We have already seen increased membership and participation through an enhanced career development focus and interpersonal recruitment. My main goal as President is to foster a strong community of ITS and DGP students where we can grow as professionals during our time at Miami. Show less

      • Jul 2021 - Aug 2023

For two summers, I worked as a student mentor for SUSI (the Study of the U.S. Institutes for Scholars). This is a U.S. Department of State funded scholarship program, and it is carried out entirely in Spanish. As a mentor, I led multicultural events to increase US cultural knowledge and English proficiency. The first summer, carried out online due to COVID-19, required me to assist with online lectures and coordinate online meeting spaces.I returned for a third summer to work as the lead student logistics coordinator. I co-coordinated 5 weeks of professional development events located in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Chicago. I also allocated monetary resources from a designated federal budget to maximize student outcomes. I continue to maintain professional relationships with students and assist in their local project development plans in their home countries.I worked with a total of 52 exchange students over 3 years from Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. • Project Manager
      • Jan 2023 - May 2023

Miami University was contracted by Oxford Hope to provide consulting services for a federal grant project. I directed a team of 8 undergraduate students to conduct a cost-benefit analysis and evaluate the effectiveness of the coalition’s budget. I also coordinated extensive research on spending for the $1,000,000, 3-year federal grant to capture a detailed expense report. I analyzed the newly aggregated budget using Excel, and my team determined the effectiveness of outcomes to provide future strategy recommendations. Oxford Hope is using our data and suggestions to implement their next grant. Show less
