I am currently doing my last two trimesters as a chiropractic student at Coastline Chiropractic. I am taking histories, performing examinations, setting patients on therapies, doing patient notes and working with the electronic health record keeping. While at this internship I am preparing myself for a post-graduation job. I am also learning how insurance is submitted and the business side of a chiropractic office. During my university breaks, I shadow Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistants, Exercise Physiologist, and athletic trainers. This practice focuses on fully engaging the rehabilitation on an individual basis. One-on-one, hour-long assessments for each and every client allows me to experience many different treatments such as dry-needling, cancer rehabilitation, sports medicine, post-operative rehabilitation, orthopedic and manual therapy.
