AllPeople is a start up where every contribution has a significant impact on the success of the company. I was hired right before the official launch of AllPeople, so I am in charge of developing a marketing strategy that will accelerate the popularity and success of the company. I edit and write blogs that are posted weekly on the companies website. I compose press releases that are sent to publications, news sites, and influencer blogs. I also go through raw video and audio files and compose promotional videos.

I had many responsibilities at KCPR. I was on the editorial team, hosted a weekly 2 hour show on FM radio, cohosted an award winning sports podcast, hosted events, covered concerts and conducted interviews with high profile artists. On the editorial team, I had 10+ articles published for the website and often created original artwork to accompany those articles. Some of this content came in the form of receiving press passes and covering concerts and festivals. When recording artist JPEGMAFIA performed in SLO, I covered the performance, organized and conducted an interview with him, and wrote an article about that experience. To be eligible for a disc jockey slot, I took a 10 week course on FCC rules and regulations and shadowed an established host. For two years, I catered my music to the thousands of listeners that tuned into my show every week, and curated a mix of new, old and underground hits. The sports podcast I cohosted was a weekly hour long show that discussed the current state of the NBA. I, along with my cohost, won second place for Best College Sports Podcast by IBS (Intercollegiate Broadcast System). I was responsible for hosting multiple events that saw hundreds of attendees. Some of these events were open mics and some were fundraisers.

Mustang News was hands on campus news organization that produced print content as well as video and live broadcast content. I mostly contributed to the broadcast and video production. Mustang News owned a San Luis Obispo television channel that went live weekly where local stories were aired and students hosted hour long shows. I gained experience operating audio and graphic equipment behind the scenes, as well as speaking on a live broadcast and segueing different segments cohesively. I learned how to set up and operate the cameras, as well as the meticulous choreography that goes into a live broadcast show. I wrote, filmed, produced and edited over 10 stories that were aired and posted to the website. Many of these stories involved conducting interviews with high profile people in the San Luis Obispo area, such as the mayor. Occasionally I would deliver the news on radio broadcast in five minute run downs. I refined the craft of concise and informative writing.
