    • Summer Crew Member
      • Jun 2015 - Aug 2015

A summer crew member for Great Basin Institute through Nevada Conseration Corps completes a number of different activities over their contract term. During my term we both maintained and built from scratch multiple trails in the Nevada area. This includes working alongside crew members and supervisors using a variety of tools and methods to create beautiful trails for future users. Learning proper tool use, policies, work methods, and crew roles is vital. We also did habitat restoration projects like clearing streams of overgrown and invasive vegetation to help endangered fish population surveying. During the course of this job the crews spend the duration of each job out camping near the work site. Ability to work and live along side people and contribute in a camp life setting was crucial.
