Stella Lucia Becci
Taylor has been an active Course Representative for year 3 Music at Bristol University this year. They have engaged with a network of other representatives, Students’ Union democratic meetings, and relevant training opportunities. Through their role they have worked to improve the academic experience of students on their course, acting as a bridge between the student body and the University. This has required strong communication skills, and the ability to work proactively with peers, University staff, and the Students’ Union. The role of Course Representative has been particularly crucial this year due to the fast changes to students’ experiences and teaching provision caused by the coronavirus crisis. Taylor has demonstrated the ability to adapt to this, and meaningfully represent the needs of their peers in a challenging environment.

Public Relations Intern
-
Nov 2021 - Feb 2022
Completed a 3-month internship at this PR agency, specialising in B2B PR. Worked with a small team across a wide variety of clients, including creative video agency House of Greenland, digital transformation consultancy Kin + Carta and marketing agency MediaVision, as well as others. Helped ghost write content for diverse publications, including Forbes and British Cinematographer. Articles covered topics such as hiring for diversity in the technology sector as well as why film credits should be more appreciated. This, along with writing press releases, improved my writing skills immensely. Sold many different press releases successfully into the media, improving my communication and persuasion skills. Secured coverage in some major publications, including The Mirror, Metro, Evening Standard and The FT. This demonstrated my ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as it was important to get the maximum amount of coverage for each release as quickly as possible. This internship was completed completely online, demonstrating my ability to work effectively remotely. Show less

Helped conduct research for Europe’s biggest independent music publication, aiding in the collection of information for a project entitled Everything is Music, a location-based digital museum for mobile in Bristol and Bath. Researched and provided material on specific lists of Bristol/Bath based artists, pirate radio stations, clubs and studios sent to me. This included compiling materials and data from online archives, forums, and websites into relevant information, for example coordinates where previous studios were located, visual content of bands/artists performing, interesting mixes from different local radio shows, and concise written content for each individual artist/station/club.
