Director of Life Skills
-
Jan 1995 - Jun 2001
I started at the La. Methodist Children's Home as an intern in the Life Skills department. I worked my way up from there and for the last few years I was the Director of Life Skills. We provided life skills to children in foster care ages 15-21 to prepare them to be out of state's custody. I wrote grants, managed our Federal grant and managed 5 amazing and dedicated staff. I was on the Management Team and worked on the treatment plans for each youth we served. I started at the La. Methodist Children's Home as an intern in the Life Skills department.
