Convening and teaching on a "peer mentoring in schools" module that explores theories of social pedagogy, critical pedagogy, youth agency and person centred practice. This course has a unique blend of academic and practical activities aiming to build students' communication, reflection and facilitation skills, supporting them through a placement in a local school. Also teaching on modules that explore social welfare and wellbeing in relation to young people, and delivering lectures on Relationships and Sex Education. Three years in a row nominated for a Sussex Education Award, for the categories "Teaching to Disrupt - for staff who dare to be different in their approach" and "Better World - for staff who are actively engaged in efforts to make a positive impact in the local community" (Winner in 2019).
