  • Implement and Operate over $8.2 million worth of Council’s Operational Plan projects and identify critical sites and connections for the 4-year Delivery Plan (Blackspot, Local Area Traffic Management, Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan, Active Transport).• Provide subject matter expert advice to support Strategic Transport Plans, Fairfield City Bike Plan updates and Land use development to ensure a comprehensive and an integrated transport system.• Represent Council at various TfNSW initiatives/projects (Transport Plans, Road Action Plans, Road Network Plans).• Assess development applications, planning proposals and state significant development applications in relation to traffic and parking requirements and undertake on-site investigations to ensure compliance with FCC, TfNSW and AUSTROADS Standards.• Successful funding applications for the Local Roads Package, Safer Roads Program (Federal Blackspot Program) and Active Transport Program.• Prepare Briefs, manage delivery of contracts and projects and supervise consultant and contractors.• Manage multiple traffic and transport projects from planning and design to hand-over to the Design team for technical drawings including on-site investigations to determine the most appropriate solution along with feasibility.• Coordinate and liaise with TfNSW representatives to ensure compliance with TfNSW Road Safety requirements.• Develop and implement Local Area Traffic Management plans including concept design of traffic management devices, reporting and communication to traffic committee.• Maintain policies, guidelines and standard drawing for the traffic branch in compliance with specifications including FCC, TfNSW and AUSTROADS standards.
