      While studying the HNC in Manufacturing Engineering, I volunteered as an Engineering Technician at Derby College My role expanded from general Health & Safety aspects, through to maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Other duties included assisting lecturers and co-workers, attend team meetings to influence new ideas for improvements etc I gained many skills from planning to production, troubleshooting to repairing and processing. I gained the knowledge and practical skills of calibration of measuring equipment, fabricating, welding and maintenance techniques.
