Selected as Secretary-General of Harvard Model United Nations Dubai 2023. Responsible for the successful, smooth operation of the entire conference, including partnering with our host team; securing venue/sponsors/funding/speakers for 1000+ high school students; managing a Harvard staff team of 15-20 students; coordinating travel plans to and from Dubai; and, serving in the primary leadership role for the very first in-person edition of HMUN Dubai.

Directing a committee at Harvard Model United Nations India 2022, our first in-person conference in India in 3 years. I led a UNDP session for 95 students, engaging them in debate on humanitarian aid in the 21st century and its effectiveness in solving global crises. The conference involved a 2-week trip to Hyderabad, India and Goa, India.

Directing a committee at Harvard Model UN Boston 2023, Harvard's largest and oldest Model UN conference. My committee, UNDP, focuses on addressing paternalism in the global poverty system, in the context of foreign aid, NGOs, long-term economic development aid, and economic dependence. I authored a 70-page research guide on this topic, and look forward to engaging students on this global issue!

I received the Urschel Summer Fellowship from the Harvard Club of Dallas, a yearly award which sponsors one Harvard student to intern with a non-profit organization of their choice. I was the first-ever intern for Veritas Impact Partners, a US-based nonprofit addressing poverty through three pillars: education, economics, and healthcare. Veritas works one-on-one with over 6500 households, primarily families in Texas and Georgia who work full-time, to connect them to Teladoc (affordable primary care), online tutoring, and better job opportunities. As their Project Intern for the summer, I focus on data visualization for their residents, and help present their impact to large employers (Tesla) and real estate investors (Kayne Anderson) to help grow their impact. Engaged in a weeklong program of debate simulation, public speaking workshops, networking, researching global affairs, and group socials focused on problem-solving. Coordinated with a project team to solve a global issue of our choice: created podcast project to share the stories of refugees. At the end of the program, was awarded the "YIRLI Passion Award". - Received a competitive, merit-based scholarship from the US Department of State for language study abroad, allowing me to live and study in Pune, India for 7 weeks in Summer 2019. I attended school every day, and engaged in Advanced Hindi classes, art/dance/sports, service projects, assembly presentations, and field trips. The trip concluded with a Closing Ceremony, in which I facilitated and addressed the audience in Hindi; our class shared speeches, dance, poetry, and program reflections, all in Hindi. I also gave a second presentation to other American study abroad students upon Re-Entry Orientation in New York City, sponsored by the NSLI-Y i-EARN team. Show less
