I worked inter-departmentally with providers, case managers, etc to help both HIV (+) and HIV (-) clients arrive to their appointments and achieve desirable health outcomes. Provided transportation as necessary and documented in multiple systems including Ochin Epic and ETO. I have worked off and on for Sarnova since June 2011. I have left a couple of times to continue my education, but have rejoined the team of amazing individuals there multiple times to assist with special projects including, but not limited to, beginning of the year pricing changes, state licensing updating, and DEA licensing updating. During my time there I regularly processed 100 faxes with 95-100% accuracy daily. I have been involved in both EMS and Acute Care divisions. I consistently worked with sales representatives and coworkers to accomplish tasks to best service the customers’ needs, such as researching products to ensure full and accurate information was available. • May 2008 - 2016

I have worked at this location since 2008 because I love my Y and I am very passionate about our values, mission, and service to our community. The majority of my time has been focused on the pool area where I have taken on the roles of lifeguard, swim lessons instructor, and water fitness instructor. Our YMCA is located in a financially disadvantaged neighborhood, so I have worked regularly with a diverse group of individuals of all ages including people with disabilities, various races and ethnicities, genders, socioeconomic backgrounds, religions, and more. I have always work as a team with coworkers to make sure that safety is maintained. I have maintained certifications and attended renewals courses as necessary and actively sought opportunities to learn new skills and interact with new people. People are of the utmost importance to me, and the positive relationships with staff and patrons that I have formed are what keep me loving this job and facility. Show less

      • Jan 2015 - May 2015

This was my second practicum site for Columbus State's Interpreter Education Program. I worked closely with four certified interpreters, interpreting in many different business situations. I interpreted for small group business meetings, one-on-one trainings, large presentations, and awards ceremonies. During my time there I worked with many of the more than 50 d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing people there, so I experienced a wide range of the language spectrum from singing word-for-word English sentence structure with mouthing, to use of classifiers and ASL structure. This was my first practicum site for Columbus State's Interpreter Education Program. I worked interpreting in an elementary school with children up to age 12 for a range of subjects, including math, science, art, P.E., reading, and music. Although I had one supervising interpreter and two students that I worked with the majority of the time, while I was there I was afforded the opportunity to work with every interpreter at my site as well as each student.
