  I was one of the 25 youth journalists recruited from Ireland to write about the issues that were on Ireland's agenda during its EU Presidency. My objective was to involve Ireland's youth in European affairs through a fresh and different perspective. I attended and covered formal and informal meetings of the ministers of the EU. For example when Ireland received its first extension on its bailout loans I attended the meeting and published a youth friendly article on this.
