Key responsibilities include: - • Supervising, Managing & controlling day to day warehouse activities of organization. • Co-ordination for distribution from to warehouse and various store/ project sites. • Follow up & ensure goods supply as per project demand in a cost effective manner. • Systematic and safe storing procedure follows up to minimize damage & pilferage. • Maintaining adequate stock levels for various product categories as per demand and plan replenishment orders. • Periodic stock count and inventory update. • Maintaining flow track of the shipments and advance escalations so that to prevent demurrages & detentions. • Planning of stock levels, booking in of all stock and arranging for collection of returns as appropriate • Ensure prompt and accurate stock movements onto the floor to ensure full stock replenishment throughout the store. • Ensure warehouse operations are cost effective, controlling departmental budgets to meet significant cost reduction targets. • Ensure full stock rotation and ‘clean as you go’ within warehouse. • Conduct weekly audits to ensure trading standards processes are adhered to by all staff. • Manage all aspects of the planning, preparation and conduct of weekly stock counts within Sections. • Ensure full compliance of all security and health and safety procedures by all Warehouse colleagues • Encourage change through continuous improvement • Management of attendance and conduct issues through appropriate interpretation of the organisation’s attendance and disciplinary policies and employment legislation • Ensure smooth Logistics & warehousing operations to achieve trading objectives set by high management Show less
