I knew Tareque since the year 2013 when we taught a course together called " Introduction to International education" at the university of Massachusetts Amherst. I found Tareque to be very passionate about teaching. As his colleague, I can vouch for his sincerity to his work and the exceptional contribution that he made specifically for the course and generally for the school. I always have found him a kind and helpful person. Going the extra mile for her peers and students is second nature to him and I have often looked up to him for advice and mentorship. He was very innovative and thoughtful in designing lessons and facilitating the classes. He was also very consistent and reliable in grading. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend him for a teaching position, as I believe he will be able to contribute highly in every aspect of teaching.

I taught an undergraduate education major course called “Digital Technologies in Contemporary Classrooms” (DTCC) that focuses on the use of technology for teaching and learning for Pre-Service Teachers (PSTs). Since 2011 the course received dissatisfactory review by the students and hence was in order for review. Two coordinators and 5 tutors (myself is one of them) were engaged to improvise the course curriculum and teaching-learning practices through a flipped classroom model. Reviews were much positive compared to the earlier semesters along with findings for further improvement. At the end of the semester we published our findings as a journal article. The title of the paper is, “Enacting Smart Pedagogy in Higher Education Contexts: Sense making through Collaborative Biography” and it could be found here: https://doi.org/10.1007/s10758-021-09495-5 Show less
