Tarek was my first manager during my coop, at Philips in Manlius NY, more than 20 years ago in the late eighties. Little did I know Tarek set the standard very high for everyone of my subsequent bosses. I could not have asked for a better manager. Tarek had the right mix of friendliness, mentoring and empowerment. Every young engineer should be given the lucky start I had with Tarek. I read some of Tarek recommendation write ups and none of them surprised me. I expected more people to remember Tarek in the same positive light I do.
