Working both with Prof. Alan Manning on a book on immigration policy in economics and Dr Judith Shapiro on Soviet post-1985 economic history research. When applying as a first-year, I was chosen as 1/50+ strong applicants spanning the entire undergraduate and graduate cohorts. My work so far has been primarily the usage of Stata to analyse tabular global, national and local economic time series data on population flows in numerous contexts, examining patterns and visualising prominent trends. I have also been conducting literature and research searches, aiming to consolidating that which has been written by Prof. Manning. Show less

As a member and delegate at the European Youth Parliament, I debated pressing current international issues with other members and helped form motions for resolutions at several forums. In my role working in cryptocurrency asset research, I was actively involved in the fundraising process required in order to make the cryptocurrency fund active and operating. I mainly focused on market research and analysis of other cryptocurrency funds, so that the firm could understand the existing strategies used. I played a key role in the compilation of a document that evaluated the firm’s investment strategies and discussed how to improve them through the implementation of various techniques, ultimately increasing the return on investment. One week placement shadowing the data and analytics team, as well as the management consulting team throughout the entire solution creation process, from meeting with subject matter experts to discuss the features of the Python models (ARIMA and DeepAR) and the aesthetics of the presentation, to pitching the solution to a FTSE 100 firm’s problem. Achievements include designing a session canvas for a FTSE 100 company’s session and presenting an Agile and Scrum Session for 25 KPMG employees. Show less
