Tara was a very successful teacher in a very difficult behavior classroom. She managed to bring an academic focus to a classroom that previously was not meeting state curriculum standards. I saw her grow as a teacher and colleague. I found her to be cooperative and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to see an educator dedicated to the well-being of all of her students. I certainly can endorse her teaching in a general education classroom. I think that Tara will offer sensitivity to younger children because she is a parent who understands developmental levels of children.

Classroom teacher following the common core; math and STEM science DOE MCAS data to support highly effective as a teacher. Huge advocate of Growth Mindset and Jo Boaler. Math practices are primary and the standards are the vehicle in which we teach them. Love my job and still think it's an honor to be called a teacher. Data drives instruction. Over the past 12 years my focus in teaching has shifted toward getting students to think deeply, critique the reasoning of others, validate their thinking, use self-assessment as a tool to spearhead student reflection and their ability to define where they are in the learning process. I continue be in awe as I watch their metacognition develop. Mentor teacher. ThinkSRSD writing process trained. WILSON Certified. SEI Endorsed. ST Math experience. Show less
