Over my time with Wesley Mission Queensland I have had the ongoing responsibility of facilitating, coordinating and further developing community based programs that are aimed to engage young people within the local area. This has proven to be a highly rewarding role as it has allowed me the autonomy to build upon the pre-existing services within the organisation, whilst also collaborating with others to form new and inter-dimensional communication strategies. Some of the tasks performed as a part of this position include creating social media posts, designing advertisement graphics, program development planning, researching and sourcing products, managing budgets, submitting analytical reports and interacting with a diverse range of individuals.

During this time I have been both a choreographer and coach for their jazz, contemporary, pom, hip hop and dance doubles teams. This has seen the university achieve outstanding results including: - 2018 State Grand Champions - 2018 AASCF Winterfest 2nd & 3rd Grand Champions - Gold, silver & bronze medalists at the official University Games 2018 - Placing top 5 pom Universities at AASCF National Championships 2016, 2017 & 2018

In 2013 I was given the position of junior recreational dance coach at the Forest Lake FAD Cheer & Dance studio. I achieved this role following ten years of extensive training in styles ranging from jazz, pom, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop and musical theatre. In 2016 I was recognised for my efforts and promoted to senior dance coach, where I was required to teach junior and senior competitive dance teams whilst also co-ordinating recreational dance programs across three different studio locations. During the past eight years I have had teams compete and place at both State and National levels. It is through this role that I have positively experienced working across a diverse range of creative and demanding professional environments; ultimately enhancing my ability to successfully liaise, direct and communicate with a wide range of people.

In 2018 I was chosen by QUT to participate in a three week intensive international study program. As a part of this experience I was asked to represent the university at the Australian Consulate-General office in Hong Kong. Through this opportunity I was able to explore the international tourism industry, attend various health seminars, participate in extensive research programs and present findings to recognised health professionals. This allowed me to not only develop my knowledge around international relations but also build strong relationships with key opinion leaders.
