In order to be a successful marketing and event planner, one must be incredibly organized, detail-oriented, results-driven, easily adaptable, and maintain an unusually high energy level. Few people are capable of checking all those boxes - but Tara is one of them. Her unique yet specialized background is why I hired her, and her unmatched ability to be a positive team player proved that it was a great decision. Tara served as my right-hand for roughly 50 events, becoming a logistical wiz and dependable strategic partner. Any team would be lucky to have her.

    • Aztec Pride Chair- Aztec Student Union Board
      • Jun 2013 - May 2014

For the past school year, I volunteered as the Aztec Pride Chair for the Aztec Student Union Board. The Aztec Student Union Board is comprised of 8 committees and are dedicated to planning and executing exceptional programs and to help maintain the overall operations of the newly open Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. The Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union serves as the "Living Room" for the students, faculty staff, and the community. ASUB gives students opportunity to get involved and to enhance campus life. As Aztec Pride Chair, I was responsible for collaborating with various departments on campus to put on events to promote Aztec Pride throughout the year. Additionally, the committee, which I facilitated weekly meetings, planned and execute Homecoming in the Fall as well as plan the student team competition events for GreenFest in the Spring. In my year as an executive position on the board, I had the opportunity of being apart of the grand opening of the Aztec Student Union. This has consisted of marketing for the opening, planning of events for the Welcome Home Week and the Grand Dedication Week and plan promotional items all under a budget provided by the University.
