  Recently promoted to Administrative Services Manager for Local 338, I oversee the Administrative Services Team. This department maintains several functions, such as coordination of benefits, worker's comp/subrogation and liens, member enrollment, the dental & optical benefits as well as the up-keep of member records (adding or removing spouses/dependents, updating addresses & contact info etc.) In addition to my role as supervisor of the Administrative Team, I am still responsible for maintaining the prescription drug benefit for Local 338. I work cohesively with the Call Center Manager and the Claims Manager together with the Funds Administrator, to ensure that the Funds benefits are being properly administered in service of all members of Local 338.   Hired as a Medical Claims Examiner, I was moved to the Administrative Department in 2008, where my job was to oversee & problem solve issues pertaining to the prescription drug benefit (ie: problems with processing Rx claims, prior authorization & Specialty Rx benefit) . In addition to managing the pharmacy benefit, I process claims for NYS Short Term Disability & trouble shoot any issues that may come up, pertaining to that benefit. I was promoted to Administrative Services Team Leader in January of 2013 where in addition to my responsibilities in the Administrative Services group, I serve as a point person for the rest of the administrative team, which includes eligibility, dental & optical benefits, workers compensation & liens & benefit enrollment.
