I have worked as a Volunteer at the Nassau County of Art for several years, reporting directly to Tara Keblish. During my time at the Museum, I have found Ms. Keblish to be thoroughly organized and well able to handle her various responsibilities. Soon after I started, a decision was made to purchase Altru, a comprehensive computer database system. Tara assumed the responsibility to structure the database and all existing information from various departments so that it could be transferred into the database. Throughout the entire process, Tara worked collaboratively with staff and volunteers in order to complete the task, helping everyone to understand what was required of them.

I worked with Tara for 4 years. I had a fundraising and special events role at The Nassau County Museum of Art. She was responsible for developing strategy and overseeing implementation of all member programming and services, and the member renewal, recruitment and retention process. We collaborated on a major project - converting an antiquated fundraising/membership system to a new robust CRM system and trained staff and volunteers on data management and reporting. Together we extracted data and reports from the system to better customize communications, donation requests, and invitation lists. With this data we were also able to build important relationships, and track and report on constituent engagement.

I work with general members, high-level members, corporate members and libraries. I conduct mail, phone and email campaigns to acquire, retain and reactivate members and to train volunteers in sales techniques to communicate benefits to visitors. I enjoy developing exclusive day trips for high-level Museum Council members and managing events for exhibition openings and corporate networking events. I manage all aspects of membership: marketing, data entry, customer service and fulfillment and measure attendance trends and response rates to maximize results. During the pandemic, we engaged members remotely with online content and virtual art tours and increased donations accompanying member renewals. I conceived and executed the Art with Heart campaign to convey how we support the community and solicit donations for new remote programs. Show less
