I performed my clinical practicum at the speech and hearing clinic at Murray State Univiersity. I developed skills that I would need to be successful during my off-site clinical practicum. During my time at the clinic, I was able to assess and treat a variety of pediatric speech and language disorders. Specifically, I was able to use and master a plethora of interventions (extensions, expansions, recasts, auditory bombardment, minimal contrasts, ect.) and approaches (communicative approach, traditional approach, cycles approach, ect.) I also was given the opportunity to assess and treat adult speech and language disorders that included Broca's aphasia and Apraxia. During this time I was able to perform and master multiple different approaches as well (sentence production program for aphasia, semantic feature analysis, response elaboration treatment, ect.) Also, I had the pleasure of performing multiple laryngeal stroboscopys and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation for swallowing (FEES) procedures in Murray State University's voice clinic. Show less
