Conscious Travel Collective was born out of a lifelong passion and curiosity for travel, history, food, getting into nature, being active, meeting and connecting with peoples and culture. I have a yearning to offer other travel as it should be done - travel experiences that uplift communities, forge bonds of human connection, and break down barriers that lead to so many of the ills facing our societies and planet in the modern world. Travel, in its current mainstream form, often exploits the destinations it profits from and misses opportunities to connect us, human to human, beyond our cultural understanding or conditioning. I seek to change that by offering an alternative to this system. Conscious Travel Collective offers intimate experiences, authentic connections, and emotional engagement leading to cultural appreciation and ultimately, transformation. We design each trip in direct partnership with local people and local business. A great deal of intentionality and collaboration is at work to ensure the local community is treated with respect their values honored, and to ensure fair compensation with our equitable pay policy. For travelers, our tailor designed trips provide the rare opportunity to connect with the destination authentically, in alignment with their values, and our sustainable travel design methods are transparent to eliminate the hassle of trying to vet experiences on their own. I intend to join the ranks of changemakers who are taking ethical travel off of the sidelines and shifting the paradigm for the tourism industry. Show less

One of a 4 person team crafting boutique, luxury travel experiences in Croatia. As a small tour operator, each team member must wear many different hats - some at the same time. At TCJ I often shift from webpage developer, to blog writer to bookkeeper in a single afternoon. First and foremost however, we design travel. My primary role is to create original, tailor designed, luxury travel itineraries for our clients, and manage all aspects of client travel; consultation, design, sales, logistics, booking, vendor confirmations, pre-journey documents, in country assistance and post journey follow up. In addition, I also support the company in the follow ways; Content creation - I create a variety of original content for website, blogs, destination materials, marketing mailers, social media, and client presentation. (Word press, PowerPoint, Constant Contacts) Business development – I identify, establish and maintain relationships with travel professionals, organizations, tourist boards, DMO’s, and service businesses to establish new partnerships. Develop new partnerships into VIP experiences, backed by research of market trends and client interests. Drive project management agenda and prioritization to deliver on time fulfillment Directly support company branding and image, manage executive calendar, track and compose applications for industry awards. Calculate and track sales analytics to set goals, and recapture leads Show less
