    • Art Psychotherapist and Art and Well-Being Tutor
      • May 2016 - Present

At The Art House Sheffield, I facilitate art psychotherapy and art and well being services for adults who are experiencing mental health difficulties, learning difficulties such as Autism/Asperger syndrome, people diagnosed with early onset dementia and people experiencing brain injury. At The Art House I work closely with other organisations such as Sheffield MIND, Hearing Voices 35 Chapel Walk,City of Sanctuary and Assist. I tailor individual art therapy sessions to suit the emotional and physical needs concerning the people who are referred to me for art psychotherapy sessions and I continuously develop my practice by combining the requirements of external services to help assist clients with their individual progress. I successfully established weekly group therapy sessions for the Sheffield CRISIS team facilitating homeless people and vulnerably housed people with regular art therapy sessions which became a secure place for these people to experience a sense of community, relatedness and support. Currently I facilitate art and well-being groups for adults diagnosed with autism/asperger's, people diagnosed with early onset dementia and their partners, art and well-being groups for people struggling with mental health who are searching for a creative outlet and development, as well as an art therapy group for people experiencing brain injury. I have sufficient experience in how to manage, deliver and facilitate group therapy and all my work is delivered with a warm and sincere person centred approach. Show less
