Tanya is a detail-oriented, energetic, team-player sort of manager. I not only enjoyed working with her, but I also gained experience in the administrative side of education working under her. Her enthusiasm for her job was a driving force behind the International Welcome Project that we were working on together, and if given the chance I would work with her again!

Tanya Zabalegui was a key member of a UC Irvine Leadership Academy and one of the small group research projects called HIPP-Hub for International Programs and Protocols. This was a capstone project, involving 9 months of research and development of programs, policies and proposed organizational structure. The results were reviewed by UC Irvine Assistant Vice Chancellor Dr. Jacob Levin, who had been charged to build a program for international University collaborations. He was very complimentary and supportive of the work involved and used it in his considerations for his own project. Tanya’s skills in group dynamics helped focus the group in keeping the project at a high standard of information integrity, with a regard for the process being liquid and revisable throughout. The superior resulting document attests to her efforts with the group.
