• Awarded USDA-NIFA Fellowship; designed and conducted budgeted research project addressing solutions to environmental issues that are impacting economic and food security in the agriculture sector. • Prioritized through collaboration with industry professionals and local farmers areas of most critical concern pertaining to soil borne pathogens and nutrient cycling. • Successfully suppressed 90% of focus pathogen; provided cost-savings of inputs to farmers. • Co-Authored presentation posters, reports, and articles for publication. My research pertained to suppression of soil borne fungal pathogens Fusarium oxysporum, and Verticillium dahliae. Following incorporation of carbon sources, and Anaerobic Soil Disinfestation, I performed bio assays to observe how successful each treatment was in suppressing disease. Additionally, I conducted experiments in soil fertility and nutrient cycling of the various carbon sources in both field and controlled lab settings. All aspects of the research was documented, analyzed, and summarized. I trained staff members in the lab to assist with experiment preparation, soil processing and statistical analysis of lab data. please refer to: Grant number- 2016-67032-24987 https://youtu.be/B2spWvUmdMI
