A peer Support Live-in with Reset Society of Calgary, has the responsibilities of keeping the home safe and secured, while checking in with clients regularly. While leading by example, a peer mentor offers a structured, yet relaxing environment where participants can unwind from the day. This volunteer position, is one that is done out of pure altruism and selflessness. Roles and Responsibilities:o Ensure client participation and attendance for online programing during the Pandemic.o Ensure security and safety protocols are followed, rules, guidelines, abstinence from substances, curfews, change door codes.o Manage and document housing reports, move out reports, incident reports, maintenance request forms or other housing matters. o Observe and report concerns of client behaviour to key workers.o Encourage and support clients in building healthy life skills to maintain household responsibilities. o Modeling and building therapeutic relationships and encouraging healthy non-violent communication, coping skills, self-care, and support positive social interactions in the home.o Facilitate house meetings, address client and house issues, mediate conflict resolution, support clients to create and maintain boundaries, focus on building positive self-worth.
