As part of the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates, I participated in the TECH SCEnE research program at Michigan Technological University. I worked on Electrospinning Nanofiber Membrane Filters for Personal Protective Equipment. Over the eight weeks of the program, I was able to learn about electrospinning, polymer chemistry, cell culture, electron microscopy, dynamic mechanical analysis, and develop a strong relationship with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.
