As the captain of the Concrete Canoe Team, Tanner has demonstrated excellent leadership and project management skills. Tanner has an excellent work ethic and a strong technical foundation. I first met Tanner as a new member of the Concrete Canoe team our first year at the University of Cincinnati. Since both of us were in civil engineering, we took classes together throughout our education. During these times, Tanner and I worked closely together in groups for both classes and as senior members of the Concrete Canoe team. Tanner has demonstrated to me on multiple occasions that he is an intelligent, meticulous, and passionate student who always gives more than his all to succeed. Our third year, Tanner took over the Concrete Canoe team as the Project Manager while I became the Design Lead under him. Tanner again showed his prowess for organization and leadership as he received input from different team leads, lead meetings, recruited new members, reached out for industry support, and managed the fine print of such an undertaking as the Concrete Canoe always is (all while managing a deep educational curriculum). Tanner is a well-rounded individual that is dependable, hard working, and diligent.
