We, TeamMTL, a collaboration between students and faculty from McGill University and Concordia University, designed and built a solar powered net-zero house in China. Our design, the Deep-Performance Dwelling, follows PassivHaus principles. We competed against 22 international teams. We won first prize in the Architecture; Market Appeal; and Communications contests with thirds in the Innovation and Engineering contests. My contribution: Exhibition design, logistics, construction in China of the net-zero energy home, conference at the Sustainable Development Center in Montreal
