Biography of Tania Tania has steadily continued to keep her learning abreast with the best practices in yoga and instruction by participating in many workshops and a variety of classes. Tania is a charismatic and engaging yoga teacher. She practices Ashtanga yoga as it improves flexibility, increases strength and builds stamina at the same time. Most importantly, it strengthens core muscles which help improved her posture. Ashtanga allows her to follow a routine for steady progression while calming the mind with good breath control. She has instructed a wide variety of yoga style-classes. She was the primary Ashtanga teacher at Sadhana Sanctuary Pte Ltd. Tania has been practicing yoga since 2004. Her journey began with Hatha yoga whilst working in a large multinational company. Her passion for yoga grew and in 2009, Tania decided to focus on yoga to share this passion. She enrolled into a Yoga school in Singapore, and completed the 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher training course as well as the 300-hour Yoga Alliance advanced teacher training course. Tania holds the distinction of being one of a handful of teachers to have completed the 500-hour course in Singapore, in 2009. Over the 11 years of teaching and training, Tania has been able to work closely with groups as well as individuals of different body types, providing her with a deep understanding of physical limitations and individual pace. This accumulated experience gives her insights into improving quality adjustments of each asana, which has resulted in good progress with her students. These alignments and adjustments are value added services that many clients appreciate as they observe results and is a great motivating factor in engaging Tania. Students from all walks of life, from housewives to businessmen have benefitted by the opportunity Tania provides. Tania studied full time and has been teaching yoga since. Majoring in Ashtanga yoga (8 limbs) where these skills and techniques can be applied to her daily life. Yoga has helped her in many aspects and acquired and equipped her with a lot of motivation and will. Other attributes like Focus & Concentration/Awareness/Meditation/Body postures/Breath/Control of the senses/Detachment to materials/Positive energy. The ability to be able to impart knowledge and skills is another gift that Tania has. The passion and drive to extend to do more than what is necessary for the well being of another person is also something that keeps the flame alive. • From an avid yoga practitioner to a yoga teacher, she trained hard to achieve the level of fitness that one aims to have through 6 months of 180 days of workout non-stop, 8 hours a day of training • Managed and set up her own yoga business from scratch as a teacher, new into the industry starting with private yoga with 1-to-1 and small group classes • Introduce regimes and develop different training programs to benefit different individuals with different body type, students have seen results through improvement in their medical conditions like high and low blood pressure/gout/obesity/slipped disc etc. • Trialed, tested and proven, she became a vegetarian for 3 years and maintained her fitness. In this similar scope of work, account servicing and sales and marketing of enrichment programmes for schools, Tania finds great passion and highly motivated to share the goodness of these programmes. With more than 350 schools in Singapore in the 4 cluster zones, Tania took care of the students by making sure that most of the students were able to benefit from the programmes that were offered.
