My jobs include the maintenance of navigation equipment on the bridge as well as keeping the paper charts and nautical publications up to date. I also assist the Chief Officer in cargo planning and with the loading and discharging operations.

As 3rd Mate I was responcible for all the safety equipment on board, doing regular maintenance as well as keeping the Captain up to date with any upcoming on shore maintenance needs. On deck I was responcible for greasing and keeping all the winches and hydraulic doors in good working order. At harbour I assisted the Chief Mate with loading and discharging of the vessel, updating loading plans, stability program, doing ballast operations and checking the condition and lashing of the cargo.

: I worked as a Technical Specialist in Sefine Shipyard in Turkey and in Remontowa Shipyard in Poland on the construction of new RO-Pax ferries for the Estonian Goverment. I was responsible for all of the documentation and drawings for delivery aswell as the adherence to EU Directives and SOLAS in the matters of Safety Equipment. After the deliveries from shipyard to owner I sailed three of the four ships (2 from Turkey and 1 from Poland) to Estonia in the position of 3rd mate.
