In pursuit of this duty, I prepared for TBA members analyses on Periodic Comparative Market Performances, Market Employee Turnover, National Budget Analyses, Regional Comparisons on Tax Policies and Business Environment for Advocacy Purposes. Conducting researches on identified issues for use by TBA members. Liaising with Bank of Tanzania, member banks and other relevant bodies on matters relating to banking and finance. The studies I conducted include; Determinants of Employee Turnover in the Banking Sector and Challenges Facing Banks in Combating Financial Crimes. Playing an advocacy role with government and other relevant bodies and lobbying for the industry's interests. For example, together with the TBA- tax issues working group I participated in presenting advocacy related papers on tax proposals and other related issues before various taskforce and Parliamentary Committees Reviewing, developing and delivering Tanzania Bankers Association's advocacy and lobbying agenda. Managing and developing the data base for various useful variables involved in market analyses and advocacy related issues. With this role I established a comprehensive database for financial and businesses related data for the banking sector. The database was the source of reference by players in the banking sector. Undertaking economic and business intelligence. I prepared reports on various policy, economic and business trends in the market and effects of changes in foreign policies on Tanzania.
