Tammy is a powerhouse of energy, initiating and managing multiple projects while committed to excellence in teaching. I always enjoyed working with her because we could have fun at the same time as accomplishing our goals. She listened and respected my ideas, as I do hers. She is a great colleague and friend.

Dr. Powell is an encouraging professor and distance learning educator. Her Sloan-C award winning, "Build a Course" workshop has opened up many career possibilities for me in instructional design. She constantly helped me to understand the pedagogy of distance learning and andragogy without being weighed down with theory, but through practical application. I owe a great deal to Dr. Powell for allowing me to take her class as a graduate student. It is one of my proudest accomplishments in my program of study at KSU.
