      I currently work as a tutor and educational coach for Educational Connections, Inc. I love helping students in grades K-6 experience success in their school and personal lives. I also assist students of all ages with organization and study skills. My duties as a tutor include:  Preparing and implementing individual tutoring plans in the areas of reading, math, writing, and study skills for elementary students (K-6). Using informal assessments and tutor observations to assess each students progress and modify instruction.Preparing reports on student progress.Establishing positive relationships with students, parents, and other tutors.Actively participating in training opportunities and sharing ideas and resources with other staff.Researching information on best practices and innovative ideas to aid in lesson development.I received the Tutor of the Month Award for July 2014 for providing outstanding tutoring to students with reading and learning disabilities.
