As the laboratory manager, I provided laboratory services to all post-docs and doctorial students by maintaining the performance of the laboratory. This included but was not limited to ordering supplies, chemicals, and reagents, maintained either through knowledge or vendors the equipment, maintained laboratory budget, hired and trained laboratory assistants and maintained fly records. Provided training in safety, radiation and general laboratory regulations. As a research assistant used a novel approach to high affinity binding sites using random oligo selection. A secondary project detailing Delta (Dl)cs an allele of Delta (Dl) which caused a Notch (N) like phenotype. Other projects included collaborations with graduate students in cloning, protein purification, cell culture, pulldowns, westerns, and invitro assays.

Other duties included maintaining and upholding USDA rules and regulations, animal husbandry, acting veterinarian staff, and maintenance of labs and equipment.
