I have taught first and second grade in a title 1 building within Lawton Public Schools. I have an endorsement in early childhood. I have taught 3rd grade in a non title 1 building. I currently teach 4th Grade. I graduated this past summer with my masters in educational leadership.I'm taking my principal certification tests in January. While working on my first masters, I've started on my second. Next summer (2015), I'll graduate with a masters in reading. I'm also literacy first trained, and have experience training other teachers on how use the data for instruction. Any given day, you can find me collaborating, asking questions, attending various workshops. I'm always on the lookout for a strategy that will help any learner I have, because I was that student who learned outside of the box! I love "paying it forward" because I have had so many wonderful mentors along the way. I have had many student teacher observers, either as student teacher, practicum teacher, or other aspects of the teacher education preparation curriculum. It is a pleasure teaching in one of the largest military dependent population schools in Lawton (outside of our local army base). I understand what they go through having been to many different schools in many different locations due to being a military "brat" myself. Show less

District instructional Coach

When I was a district instructional coach, I helped coach teachers on various new learning styles. I helped edit the district elementary pacing calendar. We also created the second grade pacing calendar transitioning to common core. I helped with district assessments, as well as provided district wide professional development.
