Tambwe is one of the most creative, innovative and dedicated persons I have had the opportunity to work with. Tambwe has played a major role in organizing social events (soccer tournaments, get together, meetings, etc). Additionally, he participated actively in identifying target groups and securing funds to ship a container to Tanzania with hospital equipment.

I have the pleasure of working alongside Tambwe on development projects in Tanzania. I owe him lots of credit for his devotion and all the hard work he have done for Jengo, which extends from creating partnerships, project planning to doing evaluations in the field. Tambwe is an empathic and loyal man who is not afraid of going the extra mill to succeed. I consider not only Tambwe to be a good colleague, but a good friend.

Out-Growers is an international organisation with facilities in Denmark and Tanzania, focusing on development of socioeconomic solutions for farming communities. As a result of my daily efforts within web content management, OutGrowers has increased its online presence by over 50%, growing the brand through heightened awareness of our initiatives. Moreover, I have developed an easily navigable interface that allows different stakeholders to communicate with and understand each other’s interests. Other tasks include translation and localisation of English, Danish and Swahili content and devising scalable strategies for correct implementation of micro-finance projects. Show less

As one of several top-tier project managers at TANDEN, a voluntary position, I have overseen the growth and development of the organisation over the past 5 years. Through effective management of Social Media, extensive marketing efforts and web content management, TANDEN’s membership base has increased from 20 to 150 active members. Active funding applications as well as dedicated fundraising efforts have also, in the same time, channelled over 100´00 DKK to development projects in Tanzania, such as hospital equipment donations, student scholarships, stove technologies and micro-commerce. Through my role as project co-ordinator, vice chairman and one of the founders of Jengo (a voluntary position), I have raised over $20´000 USD to complete the construction of a school in the Maasai village of Mlembule, staged knowledge-sharing workshops within subsistence windmill production and funded Albino protection schemes that have empowered individuals at risk from persecution. My current focus is on Jengo’s “SMART VILLAGE PROJECT”, within which combinations of grassroots technology, knowledge-sharing and empowerment contribute to self-sustaining development solutions in Tanzania. As media manager and innovation intern, I devised a bulletproof business strategy to help COWI Tanzania Ltd connect with its clients. This entailed detailed analysis of their previous website, conducting in-depth interviews with COWI employees and using theoretical and practical knowledge to design a thorough concept. The business case was part of the considerations used in the strategic development of the overall COWI Tanzania Ltd brand.
