I had the pleasure to work with Tamara during the Women, Peace and Security program in both Colombia and South Sudan. She is a remarkable professional with an exceptional understanding of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and a tireless advocate for its implementation. Tamara possesses an impressive knowledge of the contextual situation in Colombia & South Sudan, particularly regarding the needs of women victims of violence during the conflict. Tamara has an incredible ability to navigate complex situations and address the multifaceted challenges in projects aimed at supporting vulnerable populations. Her hands-on approach to management and leadership style ensure that projects are executed with precision and efficiency. Additionally, she inspires and motivates teams to go above and beyond, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. One of Tamara's notable strengths lies in her exceptional networking skills. She possesses a wide network of professionals and organizations, which she adeptly leverages to create stronger projects and achieve superior results. She knows how to connect the right people and resources, making the most of synergies and collaborations to maximize the impact of her initiatives. Anyone fortunate enough to work with her will undoubtedly benefit from her expertise, passion, and ability to drive positive change.

As Program Director at QANDIL Swedish Humanitarian Aid Organisation, I had the pleasure of working directly and indirectly with Tamara during her time with us. Her tremendous abilities never ceased to amaze me. She was first recruited for QANDIL as Assistant Manager, where her main role consisted of producing reports for our main donor UNHCR. After a short period, she proved that she had the competencies and capabilities to take on more responsibility. Therefore, she was upgraded to the post of PARC Manager. This is where she managed big teams and acted as Project Manager of the protection response for refugees and asylum-seekers in Erbil Governorate. She showed her management skills in leading the project by enhancing the performance and capacity of the teams, supporting the expansion of the project, and strengthening the quality of reports in terms of narrative and data analyses. In addition to that, she created a healthy working environment and a heightened sense of belonging among staff who not only enjoyed working under her supervision but were also motivated to continue meeting urgent protection needs of beneficiaries. Moreover, she regularly participated in working group meetings and sought to actively coordinate with other organisations involved in the refugee response. She received excellent performance ratings and the highest mark among eight project managers based on a 360-degree evaluation conducted by senior management. Her quality of work was also recognised and appreciated by our main donor UNHCR in terms of the enhancement of services and response, which in turn dramatically improved the communication with our donor. I have enjoyed watching the way she has grown and excelled at QANDIL in a very short time. Alongside her role as project manager, she greatly contributed in the emergency response preparedness and implementation projects to respond to the IDP influx in the country. Tamara is a pleasant and supportive person, and she was able to multitask several responsibilities simultaneously while showing eagerness to work with other co-workers – for instance through her participation in emergency meetings as well as in the recruitment of a huge number of staff, in addition to training, coaching and mentoring staff on protection issues. Moreover, she assisted in writing project concepts and proposals for various humanitarian projects. With her abilities, adaptability, and dedication, Tamara will be a great asset where she works. I have no doubt her great personality and work ethic will be reflected in future positions and that her abilities and determination will continue to grow. I wish her the very best of luck. Sincerely Bzhar Mohammed.
