    • Youth Engagement and Participation Intern
      • Jul 2018 - Oct 2018

This 12-week internship involved working with the Youth Engagement Program Manager and Youth Engagement Champions within the Strategy and Development Team at Orygen. We implement a range of engagement projects encouraging meaningful participation of young people across the organisation. In this time, I completed two projects with accompanying reports for the organisation. The first project involved designing and facilitating a workshop which captured the ideas of the Youth Research Counsel and key Orygen staff members about improving youth engagement and participation practices around organisational research priority/agenda setting. The second project was an impact evaluation, using a survey and semi-structured interviews to capture the impact that youth engagement and participation opportunities (such as internships and opportunities to be a part of Orygen youth councils) have on the lives and outcomes of those involved.
