I was responsible for the management of the teams of staff working on the fleet carrying out day to day maintenance, repair and modifications. The teams combined totalled in excess of 40 people. Management of resources was balanced with the requirements of the service and other teams on site requiring safe access to the lorries for cleaning and preparation. The role included ensuring that the teams were working efficiently and effectively and were appropriately resourced at all times. Additionally the role involved assisting in the fault finding and repair where 1st line investigation had not been successful. I additionally was seconded to an outstation to set up processes to ensure that maintenance was effectively recorded and materials were accounted for, linking it with systems in place at the main Depot.
