As a sales assistant at Boux, I would be in charge of offering customers my advice and ensuring that they have a nice experience upon entering the shop. I would also need to retain shop floor standards by keeping items in order and cleaning the different areas. The role of a lifeguard means to be, observant, professional, approachable and reliable. This job taught me a lot about responsibility and customer service. I would regularly deal with customer feedback, enquires, and complaints. Complaints would have to be felt with quickly and efficiently, as I could to make sure their experience at the Health club wasn't compromised. I had a big responsibility to make sure the pool users felt comfortable and safe, whilst also maintaining the cleanliness of the pool. Show less

I have also worked for Emperor the summer I left college in 2017. Both times I worked for a minimum for two weeks. I was kept very busy at this creative agency and asked to join in with client briefs. I was able to build my knowledge and confidence with platforms such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and InDesign. It was an opportunity for me to start my graphic design portfolio. I was able to join in on live briefs, typically consisting of branding or rebranding. I was also asked to create banners, posters, flyers for their London office. These would be for charity events, work socials and questionnaires. I would also do smaller jobs such as mail delivery, trimming sheets for display boards and replying to emails. I really enjoyed the responsibility and gravity of the tasks they trusted me with. On one occasion they took an idea of mine forward to present to the client as an initial idea. Show less

The summer after I finished my art and design foundation course, I went to work at Conde Nast - GQ magazine. I primarily focused on graphic design for my final project, so I found it beneficial to experience the print industry. Throughout my time there I was asked to complete tasks such as; creating mood-boards and search themes for upcoming issues, archiving of past GQ issues, resizing and finding higher quality images for the marketing team. Delivering letters and documents around the office. Travelling around London to find clothing and items for upcoming photoshoots. The jobs I did were small but also contributed to the running of the office. I was able to move from design to the marketing side of the company and I found the experience very helpful in finding out what I enjoy. Show less
