I recently got the opportunity to work with Talis as a software engineer, and was repeatedly impressed by his abilities. Not only is Talis an tremendous full stack engineer with a true passion for building both intuitive and beautiful user experiences, I am fully of the belief that Talis has an exceptional acuity for the big-picture issues that software engineering teams so often miss. More than anything else, when I think of working with Talis I am reminded of the way that his insistence on crafting composable, professional code and maintaining a minimal amount of technical debt in the face of hard deadlines helped the rest of us on the team build a better product, improve as engineers, and gain a wealth of perspective on the software engineering process.

I had the pleasure of working with Talis on Memory Trail. One of the things that really stood out about Talis was his attention to detail and his relentless pursuit of a better user experience. Talis took ownership of architecting the frontend and it is hard to not notice the structure and meticulousness in his code when navigating through the frontend. Our team benefited and relied on Talis' detail-oriented style of work. He led by example and it was truly inspirational to all of us. In addition to his programming ability, Talis was able to provide honest yet empathetic opinions to others which really helped the team’s growth.
