UAlberta iGEM Team

  iGEM is the worlds largest synthetic biology competition which empowers undergraduate students to utilize synthetic biology to solve real-world issues. For the past two years, the UAlberta iGEM team has been working to develop both a treatment and detection system for Nosema ceranae. As VP I handle team operations, act as team manager, and supervise / complete project work inside and outside of the lab. iGEM is the worlds largest synthetic biology competition which empowers undergraduate students to utilize synthetic biology to solve real-world issues.   Look on a leadership position in the development of a new standard of waste diversion. Achieved 99% waste diversion for an event with thousands of people. Spoke with politicians, influencers, and the public about the importance of waste diversion on a local and international level. Developed and utilized different waste diversion initiatives. Coordinated volunteers and staff. Worked with different committees in planning marathon and summit.
