Briefly: Designing in-house for art paper related products including sketchpads, watercolour pads and notepads. Also worked on product logos, POP displays, catalogues and product photography. Translation and interpreting for communicating with overseas distributors. Detailed: The company having an established history and working methods in the art paper market, it was incredibly successful before the digital age, but began struggling to expand to new customers with their traditional methods in the current online and paperless focused age. From learning about the high quality and value of the product range, I had the natural desire of wanting to help spread the word out to new customers. I created a long term modernisation plan of strengthening relations with current artists and creating new connections with the younger generation. I set in motion, a complete overhaul of their website, adding a complete and up-to-date catalogue of products to inform customers and assist the sales team in their work-flow. I assisted with design direction to suit the company brand and organised product and specification data for the catalogue. This new online presence naturally created a starting point of connecting with artists through social media and a platform for engaging content that fuels artist’s enthusiasm. Separately to this, I also contributed with modern designs for products and their promotion, to increase the appeal and awareness of the value that the products can bring to artists. Additionally involved with translation/interpreting to promote the products to current or potential overseas distributors.

Briefly: Branding focused work including logos, brand manuals, websites, collaterals and environmental. Packaging design, product photography, website content production and management for products and services. Content translation for English versions of brand manuals and websites. Detailed: Covering many companies of varying genres (such as retail, technology and consulting companies) and sizes, we worked with a range of clients directly, enabling us as a company to fully listen to and fulfil their needs. As we provided the complete branding package (starting as a company of three when I joined) I had to learn and pick up new skills very quickly from a variety of standpoints in terms of branding, logo design, layout on various media, brand manuals, product/location photography, composing imagery, desktop website design and simplifying complex information. Going through multiple projects at once, I also had to multi-task effectively as the country’s culture of high efficiency and work ethic demanded it. Additionally involved in content translation/localisation (mainly for websites and brand manuals) and interpreting, when communication with overseas clients was required.
