Educational Cloud Lab at The National School of Applied Sciences of Marrakech. This project was inspired from our students' need for deployment and production servers, and to meet these requirements we opted to use OpenStack as a cloud software to centralize the school's resources and to optimize their use. ENSALAB is an IaaS Educational Provider to offer students free access to compute, storage and network resources through the internet. Students Can create an account and ask their professor who is the Lead of a project to integrate Them in The Project. Once the member is added to a project, he or she can reserve resources, access them by console or with ssh using their own SSH Keys, and delete these resources once they are done. ENSALAB is intended to optimize not only resources use but primarily the cost, and to facilitate the access and collaboration between students to achieve their projects. While OpenStack is the main technology used in the project, other technologies were necessary to implement the project's concept such as: OpenStack Services: Essential to manage pools of resources of compute, storage and networking. Services such as Keystone, Nova, Neutron, Cinder and glance are necessary, other services are needed during the project Ansible: Used in the early stages of the project to configure the deployment servers and to deploy openstack and its services Python Flask: Used to develop the platform's back end and to connect with Openstack APIs and Services Ajax: alongside with html, css and javascript, we developped a simple template for the platform to provide an easy access to ENSALAB. MySQL + SQLAlchemy: Both were used to integrate the database with the webserver through SQLAlchemy to use Python. SQLAlchemy made the process easier. Show less
